A fair comparison controls the ball set, table, cloth, environment, measuring equipment, and cleaning condition.
One roll is not a method. Record the table level, cloth state, nominal diameter, set weight spread, cue input, temperature, cleaning state, and instrument calibration before drawing a conclusion.
Surface & Friction
Compare clean, dry samples on the same cloth panel. Polish residue and cloth contamination are confounders.
Impact & Aging
Document cycle count, impact energy, visible wear, color change, and marking condition at fixed intervals.
